Megan Briggs(they/she) is an educator, poet, and filmmaker currently based in Antwerp, Belgium. They are on their second term as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in literature at the University of Antwerp, where they also offer poetry workshops and founded the student-run multilingual literary mag Backpage Magazine. Their previous work experience includes producing with NPR-affiliate WSHU Public Radio, research in Climate Health at Save the Children, and grassroots organizing with the Anti-Racist Teaching & Learning Collective. They are invested in community-oriented action and social justice frameworks within arts and education spaces. Their artistic works span experimental films, photography, and two solo chapbooks of poetry and visual art. They were selected as a Yale College Poet in 2023.
